An Arizona man accused of causing the death of a motorcyclist in a traffic crash was indicted Thursday by a Lucas County grand jury.
Jason Osterman, 30, of Bullhead City, Ariz., was charged with two alternate counts of aggravated vehicular homicide. If convicted, he faces up to eight years in prison.
Toledo police say Mr. Osterman tried to turn left in his pickup onto Westwood Avenue in front of oncoming traffic Aug. 23 and collided with a motorcyclist who was eastbound on Airport Highway. Killed in the crash was Robert R. Davis, 40, of Toledo.
One of the charges alleges Mr. Osterman was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time.
An alternative charge alleges that he recklessly caused the death of another.
