An Arizona man accused of causing the death of a motorcyclist in a traffic crash pleaded not guilty Wednesday to a charge of aggravated vehicular homicide.

Jason Osterman, 30, of Bullhead City, Ariz., is charged with two alternate counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and faces up to eight years in prison if convicted. Mr. Osterman, whose father lives in Lucas County, was released on a property bond and placed on electronic monitoring with drug testing. Judge James Jensen set his trial for Nov. 8.

Toledo police said Mr. Osterman tried to turn his pickup left onto Westwood Avenue in front of oncoming traffic Aug. 23 and collided with a motorcyclist eastbound on Airport Highway. Killed in the crash was Robert R. Davis, 40, of Toledo.
