Saving on utilities topic of 2 public sessions

State Rep. Edna Brown (D., Toledo) and a representative of the Ohio Consumers' Counsel will hold two public meetings to address ways to save money on utility bills.

The first session is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Kent branch library, 3101 Collingwood Blvd., and the second is to be held at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Oregon branch library, 3340 Dustin Rd.

Tuesday's session is to address managing utility bills and utility-assistance programs, budget billing, and energy efficiency.

In October, the topics will include “saving green while being green” and tips on saving money on gas, electric, and water bills by making simple changes.

Joining Ms. Brown will be Amy Carles, outreach and education specialist with the Consumers' Counsel.
