Man suspected of shooting dog posts bond, is freed from jail

Mick, 57, of Federal Street and a friend, Adam Collins, 35, are accused of taking turns shooting the caged dog six times in the backyard of a house on his street July 9.

Each told authorities the other did the shooting.

Mick has pleaded not guilty to animal cruelty, firearms discharge, inducing panic, and obstructing official business. His trial is scheduled for Nov. 8.

Sarge survived and is in the custody of an animal rescue group.
