Two firefighters were injured Sunday while helping fight a house fire in South Toledo, authorities said.

They were treated at an area hospital for minor facial burns, according to the Toledo Fire Department. Their names were not released.

Fire crews arrived at the two-story wood frame house at 1821 Airport Highway at 5:37 a.m.; occupants of the house had escaped unhurt. The house was torn down later in the day, according to the fire department. The cause of the fire was under investigation.

The Lucas County auditor's Web site lists Larry and Joanne Temme as the owners of the house.
