Monday is the final day new voters may register if they wish to cast a ballot in the Nov. 2 election.
The Lucas County Board of Elections at One Government Center is open until 9 p.m. Monday to accommodate persons registering to vote. People hoping to vote on Monday must do so at the Early Voting Center at 1302 Washington St., which closes at 4:30 p.m.
In both Wood and Ottawa counties, the boards of election will remain open until 9 p.m. Monday, which also is the last opportunity for new voters to register and immediately cast an early ballot for the Nov. 2 election.
To register to vote, individuals must complete a voter registration card and submit it to the board of elections.
To be eligible to vote, one must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old on or before the day of the election, a resident of Ohio for at least 30 days before the election, and registered to vote at least 30 days before the election.
