Toledo motorist injured in LaSalle Township crash

LUNA PIER — A 19-year-old motorist from Toledo was injured in a single-car crash on South Dixie Highway in Monroe County's LaSalle Township early Monday, sheriff's deputies said.

Deputies said Blake W. Rohrs was driving south on South Dixie when his car left the pavement and struck a utility pole on the west side of the road shortly before 4:30 a.m.

The car landed in a vacant lot, and Mr. Rohrs was ejected. He was not wearing a seat belt, deputies said.

He was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, where he was in serious condition.
