Man killed in Findlay after motor home strikes residence

FINDLAY — A Wantagh, N.Y., man was killed in a crash Wednesday when a motor home he was driving struck a house in the city, authorities said.

Louis Reiss Jr., 77, who was partially trapped in the wreckage, was pronounced dead at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay police said.

Mr. Reiss pulled in the driveway at 2724 France St. about 1:55 p.m. when the motor home continued west, striking the garage door and exterior wall, coming to rest in the garage.

His passenger, Adelaide Reiss, 75, also of Wantagh, was not injured.

The residence at 2724 France St. is owned by Candy Treece, police said. The crash remained under investigation.
