Wood County sheriff offers online applications

BOWLING GREEN — People who need to make an appointment with the Wood County Sheriff's Office for a concealed-carry permit can do so online.

Through woodcountysheriff.com, persons may choose a date and time for their appointment rather than doing so by phone. The service also is available for sex-offender registration and people who must have a state or federal criminal background check done for any reason.

“We were spending a lot of time calling back and forth,” Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn said. “The few people I've talked to who have used the new system think it's fantastic.”
