Man, 21, critically hurt in central city shooting

A man was shot by an unknown suspect early Sunday morning in central Toledo.

Deandre Green, 21, was shot once in the chest and once in the thigh at 3:28 a.m. as he was getting into his car at 378 Phillips Ave. near Detroit Avenue. Mr. Green was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where he is listed in critical condition.

Toledo police had no leads on the suspect Sunday night.
