ProMedica to host events linked to cancer center
10/17/2010ProMedica Cancer Institute is opening a center at Flower Hospital where cancer patients and survivors can connect to follow-up care and community services, including genetic testing and support groups.
A reception to honor area cancer survivors and celebrate the center's opening will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Sylvania hospital's Hickman Cancer Center.
The center officially opens Wednesday.
Other survivor celebrations will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Defiance Regional Medical Center; 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fostoria Community Hospital; 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hickman Cancer Center at Bixby Medical Center in Adrian, and 6:30 p.m. Oct. 26 at Toledo Hospital. RSVP to 877-291-1441.
