Toledo police are investigating two carjackings reported within 24 hours of each other.

David G. Parker, 38, of Cadillac Court, told police his 1998 Cadillac Seville was taken at gunpoint about 2:30 p.m. Monday by a person he knows by first name only. The man invited him to look at a dog for sale, and upon his arrival he forced his way into Mr. Parker's vehicle and held a gun to his head.

After a struggle, Mr. Parker was pushed out of the vehicle on Bancroft Street at Shenandoah Road in the Westmoreland neighborhood.

Fabian Foster, whose age was unavailable, of Lawrence Avenue said he was stopped on North Miller Street at Nebraska Avenue in central Toledo about 10:20 p.m. Sunday when he was approached by a man who flashed a handgun and ordered him out of his vehicle.

His car was found empty and engulfed in flames two blocks away at Nebraska and Elizabeth Street.
