FINDLAY — Organizers of the city's annual communal book-reading project have chosen Jamie Ford's novel Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet for Findlay's ninth annual Community Read.

The book depicts the friendship of a Chinese-American boy and a Japanese-American girl during World War II when the United States sent persons of Japanese ancestry to interment camps.

Among activities planned in conjunction with the community reading project, Mr. Ford will speak at Central Auditorium on March 25. Tickets for that event are $5 and will be available at the Arts Partnership box office, the Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation, and at local bookstores.
