Man shot in leg in North Toledo

A man was shot in the leg after he was approached by three men in North Toledo Monday afternoon, police said.

Sharod Taylor, 26, of Lucas Street, was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries, Toledo Police Sgt. Bill Wauford said. A hospital spokesman said she had no information on a patient by that name.

Mr. Taylor was walking in the 3500 block of North Erie Street about 3:30 p.m. when the men approached and one shot him, Sergeant Wauford said.
