MORENCI, Mich. — A woman was sexually assaulted Wednesday night by one of three men who burglarized her Medina Township house, binding and blindfolding the woman, her husband, and their two sons, ages 5 and 8, authorities said.

The names of the victims were not released. The couple are in their early 30s, according to the Lenawee County Sheriff's Office. The woman was treated at an area hospital, according to the sheriff's office.

There were no arrests as of 10 a.m. Thursday, sheriff deputies said.

About 11 p.m. Wednesday, three men dressed in black and armed with handguns forced open the front door into the residence and fired a shot through a window. Then they tied up and blindfolded the victims and ransacked the home, taking cash, firearms, electronics, and tools.

The intruders left in about an hour in the family's pickup truck, and one of the boys managed to free himself and the others. His father then called 9-1-1, deputies said.

Authorities on Thursday recovered the stolen pickup — a blue 2000 GMC Sonoma with a Michigan plate, BGQ-2288. It was found burned and dumped in Hillsdale County.

The suspects are considered armed and dangerous.

Morenci is about 40 miles west of Toledo.
