Santa Claus, Michael Wenzel (cq), of Toledo, founder and organizer of the 21st Annual Bikers of N.W. Ohio Toy Run, and Toledo Mayor Mike Bell lead about 1500 riders from the Toledo Speedway inToledo to the Lucas County Recreation Center in Maumee, Ohio on a benefit ride for children of Harbor. The ride was escorted by Lucas County Sheriff Department motorcycle officers who donated their time for the benefit. "Thank you to everyone who came out for the kids", says Jean Drees (cq), marketing director for Harbor, noting that Harbor is the largest provider of mental health services for children in northwest Ohio. The current poor economic situation in the area has added to the community's needs, as so many lives have been turned "upside down". Everybody needs help at some point, says Drees. Over the half dozen of so years which Harbor has been the Run's beneficiary, the organization has received net proceeds close to $80,000.
