FOSTORIA — Artist's renderings of a proposed train-watching park amid Fostoria's three railroad junctions will be available for viewing during two town-hall style open houses at the Fostoria Municipal Building.

Both are scheduled for Nov. 16. The two sessions are to start at 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., with the first in the second-floor conference room and the second in city council chambers, also on the second floor.

The park is to be built on a former factory grounds bounded on three sides by railroad tracks that intersect in Fostoria, providing enhanced viewing for train buffs along Columbus Avenue at the northern tip of the planned park site.

Fostoria used a $300,000 federal grant to clear the factory site and holds an $816,000 state matching grant to build the park.

The local match for park construction is $204,000.
