BOWLING GREEN — The Wood County Suicide Prevention Coalition plans to hold “An Evening of Thanksgiving, Hope, and Remembrance” at 7 p.m. Thursday at Bowling Green High School's new performing arts center.

Created in 2005, the coalition said it will recognize individuals and groups who have supported its efforts to prevent suicide by educating the public about it and its primary underlying cause, depression.

Awards are to be presented to those who have made outstanding contributions. Mental health advocate Tracee Black is to speak. The event is free and open to the public.
