Toledo police are looking for information through the Crime Stopper program about an incident in which a Toledo man who was walking home was shot several times by a gunman on a bicycle Sunday night.

The victim, Charles Hardin, 34, was found on the street in front of 3247 Cambridge St. with several gunshot wounds. Mr. Hardin lived in the area, police said.

Authorities said he was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, but a hospital spokesman said no patient was there with that name.

Police said Mr. Hardin was walking about 7:40 p.m. when a bicyclist approached him and opened fire. Witnesses described the gunman to police as age15 to 20, with a small build, and wearing black.

Callers to the Crime Stopper program may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.
