12/8/2010

First Solar Inc., the world's largest maker of thin-film solar modules, which has its only U.S. factory in Perrysburg Township, said Wednesday it won a contract to supply 15 megawatts of panels to India's ACME Tele Power Ltd. in Gujarat.

The company, based in Tempe, Ariz., is considered one of the world's lower-cost solar-panel makers. Its announcement Wednesday, which didn't disclose a price, resulted in a 2 percent boost in its stock, which closed at $133.50 a share.
