Michael Serres, 35, of the 5800 block of Tetherwood Drive is being held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $100,000 bond. He is accused of firing a round into the left front fender of a vehicle shortly before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. The driver of that vehicle, Joshua Pegish, 22, of Toledo, told police he saw the suspect point the handgun across a front-seat female passenger and fire the shot. No one was injured.

Mr. Pegish then called 911 and followed the Serres vehicle to a Denny's Restaurant in Rossford, at 1122 Buck Rd., where Mr. Serres was arrested without incident, according to a police report.

Police recovered a black-and-silver Smith and Wesson semiautomatic handgun and ammunition from the Serres vehicle.
