A Toledo teen pleaded guilty Monday to a felonious-assault charge stemming from a July 19 incident in which a gun was fired at a Toledo police officer.

Chadd Rabara, 17, of 2526 Beaufort Ave. entered the plea in Lucas County Common Pleas Court. That charge and a charge of attempted aggravated murder, which also had been filed against him, carried multiple firearm specifications and a criminal-gang specification.

Judge Ruth Ann Franks scheduled sentencing on the felonious assault charge for Jan. 31. The remaining charges are expected to be dropped then.

The teen is one of four people authorities have identified as having a role in the incident, which occurred in South Toledo while the officer was in pursuit of a vehicle. The officer suffered a minor head wound.
