FINDLAY — A Findlay man whose car struck a Central Avenue house during a police chase was arrested early Tuesday.

Ismael R. Gonzalez, 33, was being held in the Hancock County jail on charges of obstructing official business, fleeing and eluding, driving under suspension, and possession of drugs. Findlay police said he had suspected marijuana, cocaine, and heroin.

According to police, an officer tried to stop a vehicle at Carna-

han and McConnell avenues about 5:40 a.m. when the motorist drove off and hit the northeast corner of a house in the 600 block of Central Avenue.

The driver got out and ran. Mr. Gonzalez was apprehended in the 200 block of Jefferson Street.

Columbia Gas Co. and Findlay firefighters were called because the crash damaged the house's gas meter.
