A Point Place man was arrested and taken from his home Tuesday night after he apparently barricaded himself inside.

Chris Hall, 41, of 2708 124th St., was charged with inducing panic and prior traffic violations. He was held in Lucas County jail pending arraignment Wednesday in Toledo Municipal Court.

Toledo police were called to the address after 8 p.m. About 8:25 p.m., Toledo firefighters were called to stand by in case of injury. Fire and rescue personnel set up a command post at 124th and Summit Street.

Police fired tear gas into the residence, and Mr. Hall emerged — and was taken into custody — about 9:15 p.m.
