A gallop down the sales aisle

1/23/2011

Abigail Lybarger, left, of Bowling Green and sister-in-law Corina Lybarger of Findlay head up the line of brides-to-be and others as they wait for the doors to open to the annual 'Gallop of the Brides' sales event at Memories Banquet Hall in Temperance. Shoppers make a mad dash at noon to find a gown at discounts of as much as 80 percent during An Affair to Remember Bridal Show.

Yvonne Gallippo, left, owner of Gallippo's Bridal, helps Melissa Davis, right, adjust the dress of Nia Hammond of Toledo before Ms. Hammond models the gown on the floor.

Brittany Gray of Waterville says 'Yes to the dress' as Sarah Dumas, left, and Joan Love, standing behind Ms. Gray, watch.

Bride-to-be Karen Samas, left, of Toledo holds an armful of dresses that she wants to try on, and Michelle McCaulla, center, of Gallippo's, and model Joan Love offer suggestions of other gowns for Ms. Samas to look at for her August wedding. Seamstresses from Sew-n-Such were on hand in case the perfect dress didn't fit perfectly. Accessories for other members of the bridal party were available during the event as well.
