Death of man at South Toledo business being investigated as homicide by police

Toledo police are investigating as a homicide the death of a man whose body was found shortly before 9 a.m. Thursday.

James Schueler, Jr., 65, was found dead at Forklifts of Toledo, 140 North Byrne Rd., with a gunshot wound to the head. No weapon was found.

David Tarver, who works in the Crusin Car Wash next door, said an ambulance took away the body shortly after he arrived on the job at 9 a.m.

The business is a dealer for forklifts that are sold in northwest Ohio and Lenawee and Monroe counties in Michigan, according to its Web site.
