Wood County seeks local doctor for health board

2/7/2011

BOWLING GREEN — The Wood County Health Department's District Advisory Council is looking for a Wood County physician to serve on the county board of health.

The council must fill a vacancy on the board after the resignation of Dr. Steve Dood, who has been on the board of health since 1998.

State law requires that at least one board member be either a medical doctor or doctor of osteopathy. The District Advisory Council appoints six of the 11 members, the cities of Bowling Green, Perrysburg, Rossford, and Northwood each appoint a member, and the Health District Licensing Council names a member.
