Collision in Woodville kills driver of pickup

WOODVILLE — A Woodville man was killed when the pickup he was driving and a tractor-trailer rig collided head-on Tuesday on U.S. 20 near State Rt. 105 in this Sandusky County community, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Mark Wiechman, 27, was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers at the patrol's Sandusky post said. He was driving west on U.S. 20 at high speed about 3:15 a.m. when he went left of center and into the path of the eastbound tractor-trailer, troopers said.

William Britton, 48, of Belle- ville, W.Va., the driver of the tractor-trailer, was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing safety belts. The crash is under investigation, troopers said.
