The city of Sylvania and the village of Oak Harbor are each to receive $15,000 grants to develop downtown revitalization plans.
The Ohio Department of Development announced the grants Friday from the Comprehensive Downtown Revitalization Tier One Program, a federally funded program that helps communities analyze existing economic and community development conditions in their downtown areas and prepare for growth.
Sylvania's grant is to be used to complete a market analysis and develop a plan to revitalize its downtown. Oak Harbor plans to develop a comprehensive downtown revitalization plan.
