Lucas Co. residents get in free at zoo, festival

Lucas County residents will have free admission to the Toledo Zoo Saturday through Monday. Identification showing proof of residency will be required.

The annual Frozentoesen Winter Weekends continue. An ice-carving demonstration is Saturday at 11 a.m. in the main plaza. Saturday and Sunday, Zap Entertainment will stage two educational shows —the Wonderful World of Bubbles and the Magic of Going Green — at noon, 1 p.m., and 2 p.m. in the Museum of Science Indoor Theater.

The zoo is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
