The Wood County Suicide Prevention Coalition is hosting a day-long conference focused on the impact of suicide on communities and ways to prevent it.

The conference, which will be held April 29 at the Holiday Inn French Quarter in Perrysburg, will bring together national experts, local professionals, and suicide survivors. Counselors, teachers, therapists, nurses, military personnel, parents, and clergy can participate in sessions geared to their specific concerns, said Mark Haskins, clinical director of Behavioral Connections of Wood County.

For those seeking continuing education credits, the cost is $90, including lunch. For others, the cost is $50, also with lunch. Register for the conference by calling the Continuing and Extended Education Office at Bowling Green State University, 419-372-8181.
