FREMONT — More than a week after suffering a heart attack and undergoing quadruple bypass surgery, state Rep. Rex Damschroder (R., Fremont) is recovering at home.

Mr. Damschroder, 61, was released late last week from Toledo Hospital, where he had the surgery March 23. In a statement, he said he had been in regular contact with his staff in Columbus.

Mr. Damschroder retook his seat in the Ohio House in January after an eight-year absence. His 81st District seat encompasses Sandusky County and parts of Ottawa and Seneca counties.
