Wood County auditor to receive state honor

BOWLING GREEN — Wood County Auditor Michael Sibbersen is to receive the "Distinguished County Auditor" award from the County Auditors' Association of Ohio on Wednesday at its Legislative Day.

The award recognizes auditors who have completed 100 or more hours of continuing education during their term. State law requires county auditors to complete at least 24 hours of continuing education during their four-year term.

Mr. Sibbersen completed training in valuing real property, financial statement preparation and reporting, and certified public records, as well as mandatory classes in ethics and substance abuse.
