Woodville to abolish clerk-treasurer post

WOODVILLE, Ohio — Woodville Village Council has agreed to abolish the post of elected clerk-treasurer at year’s end.

Beginning next year, the village will have a fiscal officer who is hired by council rather than a clerk-treasurer elected by voters. The decision was announced Monday night.

The change will take effect at the end of Clerk-Treasurer Barbara Runion’s term.
