Portion of Matzinger Rd. to go to 1-way traffic

Part of a North Toledo street will be reduced to one-way traffic for a major reconstruction project that starts Tuesday morning, the city transportation division said.

The eastbound side of Matzinger Road will be closed between Lint Avenue, just east of Detroit Avenue, and a quarter-mile west of Stickney Avenue, officials said. Traffic will be detoured via Detroit, Lagrange Street, South Expressway Drive, and Stickney. Westbound traffic will be maintained through the work area.

The closing is expected to last until about June 3, when another construction phase is to start. The entire project is to be done in mid-July.
