Bowling Green engineer named utilities director

BOWLING GREEN — The city engineer has been hired as Bowling Green’s new director of utilities.

Mayor John Quinn appointed Brian O’Connell to the post currently held by Kevin Maynard, who is retiring. Mr. O’Connell’s appointment, confirmed by the board of public utilities Monday, takes effect June 1.

Mr. O’Connell, as utilities director, will be responsible for the general administration of the city’s electric, water, and wastewater utilities.
