Fire chief in Clyde hired as city finance director

CLYDE, Ohio — City Council agreed Tuesday night to hire the city’s fire chief as Clyde’s new finance director.

Fire Chief Craig Davis, who also works for Croghan Colonial Bank, will replace Christine May, who plans to retire May 27. Mr. Davis, one of 30 applicants for the job, has been fire chief since last summer, when former Chief Paul Fiser became Clyde’s city manager.
