A meeting of the minds at Mott Library facilitated a discussion Wednesday afternoon about problems in Toledo and what might be done to make the city a better place for its residents.

The group, broken down into parts of the city, came up with several overall themes of what the city should focus on. Hot topics included activities for youth, crime and safety, beautification, and vacant homes.

The meeting was hosted by the Toledo Board of Community Relations.

Several city officials were at the meeting, including Deputy Mayor Shirley Green, Toledo police Chief Mike Navarre, and Deputy Chief George Taylor.

Approximately 70 community members attended the meeting.
