Troy Township man killed in one-vehicle crash
6/30/2011A 78-year-old man was killed Thursday afternoon near a Perrysburg Township intersection when his car left the road and hit a culvert, troopers at the Bowling Green post of the Ohio Highway Patrol said.
He was identified as Harold M. Stone, of 3561 Truman Rd., in Wood County’s Troy Township.
Troopers said Mr. Stone was westbound on Five Point Road approaching Thompson Road about 12:25 p.m. when his car drove off the south side of the road, struck a concrete culvert, and turned on its side in a ditch.
He was wearing a seat belt. A witness told troopers that no other vehicles were involved.
The crash is under investigation.
