Taylor KIA, 6300 West Central Ave., will hold a DNA LifePrint Child Safety Event from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Police and fire officials will be there teaching safety courses, and parents will be given take-home fingerprinting and DNA identification kits with tools recommended by the FBI and the Department of Justice. The kits will allow parents to submit their child’s fingerprints to local authorities for submission to the FBI database to recover missing children.

Special activities during the free event include bouncy houses and games, and a chance for kids to enter the “I Wanna See Ya in a KIA” contest to possibly be featured in a Taylor KIA commercial. Other events include autograph signings by comic book artist Austin Janowsky and refreshments.
