Missing Wood County boy dies at hospital

TONTOGANY — Wood County sheriff’s deputies Thursday said the 7-year-old boy who had been reported missing the night before from the 19000 block of Green Road died Wednesday night.

Connor Lord was flown to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center where he was pronounced dead Wednesday night, sheriff’s deputies said.

Deputies responded about 8:55 p.m. to the Green Road address in Washington Township, where the child was said to be missing.

Residents told authorities that the boy might have fallen into a pond.

No additional information was released as of about 11:40 a.m. Thursday.
