The Ohio State Highway Patrol has identified the person killed in the Friday night crash on state Route 199 south of Perrysburg as 40-year-old Lisa Emahiser of Luckey.
Authorities said Mrs. Emahiser’s 2006 Toyota sedan was hit on the driver’s side door by a 2007 Kenworth tractor-trailer that failed to stop at a stop sign on Dowling Road. Mrs. Emahiser, who was driving south on state Route 199, was pronounced dead at the scene.
In the car with her was her 16-year-old son, Dillon Emahiser. The patrol said he was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, but a hospital spokesman said she could find no one by that name Saturday.
The driver of the tractor-trailer, Parrish J. Quarterman, was also taken to St. Vincent's. He was listed in serious condition Saturday morning.
The crash, which happened just after 7 p.m., closed state Route 199 for nearly five hours. It remains under investigation.
