3 sites to recycle TVs, electronics Saturday

PORT CLINTON — People who want to recycle their old dusty televisions and electronics can go to the Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca Joint Solid Waste District’s recycling collection on Saturday.

The event is open to residents in those three counties as well as people who live in Bellevue and Fostoria from 9 a.m. to noon at three locations. The district will not accept computers or items from businesses.

Small electronics such as DVD players, video cassette recorders, stereos, and cell phone equipment, as well as flat panel televisions, can be recycled at no cost.

A fee, depending on size of the screen, will be charged for other televisions.

The sites for the collection are Ottawa County Fairgrounds, 7870 West State Rt. 163 in Oak Harbor, Sandusky County Fairgrounds’ north parking lot, 712 North St. in Fremont, and Seneca County Agriculture Service Center’s rear parking lot, 3140 South State Rt. 100 in Tiffin.
