NBC: Nutter leads Genoa with 3 TDs

Genoa 43, Otsego 12

TONTOGANY -- Kyle Nutter picked up 175 yards in 31 carries and scored three touchdowns for the undefeated Comets Friday night in a Northern Buckeye Conference game.

Nutter scored on runs of one, five, and 40 yards.

Genoa (6-0, 3-0 NBC) has won 45 regular-season games in a row.

Devin Sibby intercepted an Otsego pass and ran it back 20 yards for a TD, Josh Byers scored on a three-yard run, and Bryan Roberts on a one-yard run.

For Otsego (3-3, 1-2), Nate Hackworth scored on a 10-yard pass from Ryan Smoyer. Tyler Teets caught a five-yard TD pass from Smoyer.

Genoa had 263 yards rushing and six passing, while the Knights had 153 yards rushing and 68 yards passing.

Eastwood 69, Rossford 14

PEMBERVILLE -- Isaiah Conkle and Zach Conkle both scored three touchdowns for Eastwood (6-0, 3-0), which led 34-0 after the first quarter.

Isaiah Conkle scored on two five-yard runs, as well as a 78-yarder for the first TD of the game. He finished with 119 yards on six carries.

Zach Conkle totaled 76 yards on six attempts, scoring on runs of two, three, and 57 yards.

Skylar Dierker caught two TD passes of 80 and 79 yards and finished with three receptions for 163 yards.

Quarterback Jake Schmeltz was 4-for-4 for 160 yards and two TDs, one of which went to Austin Gottfried for 63 yards.

Rossford scored the game's final two TDs on a 51-yard pass from Ryan Clay to Nick Vidra, and a 10-yard pass from Clay to Steven Nordhaus.

Lake 20, Elmwood 8

BLOOMDALE -- The Flyers built a 20-point lead on rushing scores by Nick Walsh from one yard out, Nathan Pennington with a 30-yard run, and Jayce Vancena's from one yard out.

Lake had 131 yards rushing in the win while Elmwood was proficient in the air, getting 124 yards.

Zach Foster tossed one touchdown for the Royals (3-3, 1-2).

Fostoria 37, Woodmore 16

ELMORE -- The Redmen (2-4, 2-1) won their second straight game behind two touchdowns each from Jordan Settles and Adonis Cousin, plus Cousin's 55-yard scoring pass to Billy King.

Settles scored on two one-yard plunges in the second quarter to lift Fostoria to a 23-16 halftime lead, and Cousin capped the scoring on two one-yard sneaks in the third quarter.

Woodmore (1-5, 0-3) got a pair of scoring passes from Jon Sandwisch, the first going 22 yards to Cody Lockhart, and the second 11 yards to Evan Ulinski.
