Less than 900 tickets remain for the Toledo Walleye's season and home opener next Saturday.

The Walleye open their third season against Chicago at the Huntington Center. The puck drops at 7:15 p.m.

Each of the team's first two home openers were played in front of standing-room-only crowds of 8,000 spectators. Tickets for next weekend's game are priced at $17.

Standing-room-only tickets will be made available after all of the seats are sold.

"Opening night is a huge party in downtown and truly sets the tone for the entire season," said Erik Ibsen, the team's assistant general manager of ticket sales.

A "Fish Tailgate party" will begin at 4:30 outside the downtown arena with live music.

Toledo opened its preseason with an exhibition game against Kalamazoo last night.

The same two teams will meet tonight at 5 p.m. at the Huntington Center in Toledo's first and only preseason home game.

Tickets for the exhibition game are $10 for adults and $5 for kids.
