Holiday closings: 10-10

Toledo city offices and those in Sylvania and Northwood will be closed Monday in observance of Columbus Day. The city offices of Oregon, Perrysburg, and Maumee will be open, but municipal courts will be closed.

State, federal, and most Lucas County offices will be closed as well. Call individual offices to see whether they are open.

Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicle deputy registrar sites will be closed.

Public utilities

Toledo’s Department of Public Utilities will be closed, but Columbia Gas and Toledo Edison and its parent company, FirstEnergy, will be open.

Libraries

The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library and its branches will be open regular hours.

Mail service

Post offices are closed; mail will not be delivered.

Bus service

Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority buses will operate on a regular schedule.

Trash pickup

Refuse collection will be on a regular schedule for Toledo residents; collection services in other communities vary.

Parking

Meter parking in downtown Toledo will be free.
