Community members are planning a prayer vigil Wednesday for Rossford High School junior Kerry Keller, who is battling cancer.

The vigil will take place at 8 p.m. in front of the high school at 701 S. Superior St., in Rossford.

His football coach, Todd Drusback, said the teenager suffered a health setback after taking chemotherapy and is currently hospitalized in Ann Arbor.

“It definitely took a turn for the scary,” Mr. Drusback said.

The vigil, which will be led by a local pastor, is intended to bring people together and pray for the football player’s recovery.
