Free blood-sugar checks offered at Westfield mall
11/10/2011ProMedica will provide free blood-sugar checks from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Westfield Franklin Park Mall as part of American Diabetes Month.
The health provider has diabetes education services at five offices across the area, including a new Diabetes Care Center at 2655 W. Central Ave.
The center provides information on the condition, as well as the medications, meal scheduling, and exercise that can help manage it.
Assistance is available to people without insurance or who are unable to afford the services.
