Everybody likes a good story and there will be plenty to talk about at Friday's Tellabration 2011!, which will celebrate 11 years of story-telling in the Toledo area.

Sponsored by the Frogtown Storytelling Guild, the event will feature author and storyteller Sheila Otto in a spoken-word concert of "stories for grown-ups" at 7 p.m. at the Maumee Indoor Theater.

Otto began her career telling stories as a volunteer in an elementary school. She is retired as the public relations director of what was then known as Lourdes College and she is also a photojournalist. She is the author of All Stories Are True ... Some Actually Happened, which features her photography and written works.

Also featured Friday will be members of the Guild, including Catherine Andujar, Marion Hallauer, Tim Kreps, Glenda Miller, Tari Miller, Regina Patrick, Odessa Rowan, and Ken Wielfaert. Stories will include folk tales, legends, romantic sagas, humorous accounts, and personal narratives.

The Maumee Indoor Theater is at 610 Conant St. and the event is at 7 p.m. Tickets are $9 and are available at the door. High school and college students are free with a student ID.
