Morenci bicyclist killed in crash

ADRIAN, Mich. — A 25-year-old Morenci, Mich., man was struck and killed by a car while riding a bicycle Wednesday on U.S. 127 in Lenawee County’s Medina Township, authorities said.

Isiah Taylor, 25, the bicyclist, was taken to Bixby Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to Michigan State Police.

Mr. Taylor was struck about 5:30 p.m. on U.S. 127 near Donnelly Road by a northbound car driven by James Betz, 81, of Kalamazoo, Mich., police said.

Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the crash, police said. The incident remained under investigation.

The crash occurred about 15 miles southwest of Adrian, which is about 35 miles northwest of Toledo.
